This certificate confirms that netconnex meets the strict requirements of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and that our cloud products meet the highest standards of data protection, reliability and security.

The Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue (C5) of the BSI is considered the standard when it comes to securing professional cloud services. Especially for our customers from critical infrastructures and authorities and organizations with security tasks, the C5 certificate is further proof of our next-level cloud compliance standards and provides reliable guidance to everyone who works with sensitive data.

Three central protection goals define clear minimum requirements for information security:

• availability: Information must be reliably accessible at all times.
• confidentiality: Sensitive data is protected against unauthorized access.
• integrity: Information remains complete and unchanged.

Our review process

The C5 exam is carried out by independent auditors and comprises two levels:

• Type 1 (appropriateness): Verification of whether the measures meet the C5 criteria.
• Type 2 (effectiveness): Long-term effectiveness of the measures over a defined period of time.

The audit report comprehensively documents our security measures, the management of our suppliers, the geo-redundancy of our data centers, the handling of investigative requests and other business processes relevant to security.

Our path to attestation

Since the beginning of the year, we have tested our cloud architectures, security guidelines and operating processes for resilience under the C5 requirements of BSI. In close cooperation with independent auditors, measures were reviewed and processes were refined. With successful completion, the C5 certificate marks the last milestone in our 2025 certification journey: A development that confirms step by step what our foundation has always been: Safe and future-oriented Business communication as a service from the German cloud.

With the C5 certificate (according to BSI), netconnex completes its Compliance Roadmap 2025 and has been officially certified this year for maximum reliability, robust processes and secure communication even in demanding scenarios. Together with the ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 22301 certifications that have already been achieved, we are sending a clear signal: netconnex excels under high security requirements, even in an emergency.
